My Story

First of all, I have a dog - his name is Bentley and he is my big baby. Right next to him, is my husband and we live in Nova Scotia, Canada. We are small homesteaders and both entrepreneurs at heart. I was raised in the beautiful Cape Breton, and went to high school in Iona. Growing up, we crossed a small cable ferry to get to school, and if that ferry happened to be broken down my father would row us across in a small row boat. I know, it sounds like a heritage commercial but that was my upbringing. 

I have always had a hankering for seeing needs and finding a solution for the need, or identifying gaps before some other people even seen the gaps - it was what made me good in the corporate world. What I never liked about the corporate world was the lack of flexibility in the schedule, I never had enough time to play with my dog, vacation with my husband or visit family - the finer things in life. I love cooking, painting and of course gardening - so free time was an absolute must!

Four years ago my husband started his own construction company and required a bit of help in the background as he did not know the paper pushing side of a business. I immediately jumped on board - leaving the corporate job. We both quickly realized that the processes I implemented meant I would not have to work full-time for him rather part-time. And this is where I decided I wanted to help other small business owners take the administrative, and other daunting tasks out of their already busy schedule. 

As time went on I realized that what I was actually doing was allowing business owners to focus on what makes their company money - and their finer interests while I helped in the background. It was truly is a win-win situation for all involved right from the beginning.​
